This morning in Français, students were put in random groups. They then had to tell a story, being sure to give a beginning, a problem, a solution and an ending. Great work!
CFOO!
In Français, it's time for another CFOO (Le Club Fabuleux des Orateurs et Oratrices)!
This is a public speaking "club" that will help students improve their oral French skills through short speeches. For this presentation, students must choose one of the five Creativity options: a magic trick, a commercial, an art masterpiece, telling jokes / riddles or showing off creative uses for an everyday object. They will then prepare their short oral presentation, fulfilling all of the criteria (listed on the page they have in their binder).
Students should also keep in mind eye contact, volume and expression during their presentation.
The CFOO Presentations will take place on Tuesday, December 4th.
Diving into History
In Social Studies, students looked at a variety of objects used during the First World War. We then discussed their importance.
From the Math Department...

Reflection...
Be on the lookout for a Remembrance Day postcard. Each student wrote a reflection and is asked to share it with you this weekend. Students are also asked to actively remember on Remembrance Day, this Sunday. Lest We Forget.
From the English Department...
Today we thought about and discussed four interesting questions.
While listening to an informative text about the First World War, students coloured a symbol of remembrance. We put all the symbols together to make a class wreath, which will be presented tomorrow during our Remembrance Day Ceremony.
